Premier Fixed Interest:

Paul Smith, co-manager of the Premier Corporate Bond Monthly Income, UK Money Market and Defensive Growth funds, has left the company.  Daniel Hughes and Robin Willis, who have worked with Smith for a number of years, will become co-managers of the Premier Defensive Growth fund.  Chun Lee, existing co-manager of the Premier Corporate Bond Monthly Income Fund, will become sole manager, whilst  Lee and Hoy Wan will be co-managers of the Premier UK Money Market fund.

Investec UK Equity Income:

Blake Hutchins has exited Investec Asset Management and will join Troy Asset Management’s Equity Income team in October 2019.  Ben Needham, who has worked with Hutchins on the fund since launch, will take over as manager.

Hutchins will join Troy as co-manager alongside Francis Brooke and Hugo Ure on the Trojan Income and Ethical Income funds as well as the Troy Income & Growth trust, Trojan Ethical Income fund. 

Mercantile Investment Trust:

Martin Hudson is to step down as co-manager of the Mercantile Investment Trust later this year.  The trust will continue to be managed by Guy Anderson, who has been lead manager on the portfolio since early 2016, and Anthony Lynch, who has worked on the trust since September 2009.

BNY Mellon Real Return:

Portfolio manager Iain Stewart is set to retire at the end of this year after 34 years with the firm.  Stewart had already stepped back from management of the BNY Mellon Real Return fund in 2018 to focus on providing strategic input to the Real Return team’s macro-economic perspectives and outlook.
