GAM UK Equity:
GAM has hired Adrian Gosden, who was formerly a co-manager at Artemis, to work with their UK Equity team. At Artemis, Gosden managed the Income fund alongside Adrian Frost and Nick Shenton, and their High Income fund with Alex Ralph.
Neptune UK Mid Cap:
Holly Cassell is taking a two year hiatus from co-managing the Neptune UK Mid Cap and UK Opportunities funds to take up a strategic advisory role within the UK government. Cassell will continue to work as a deputy manager on the funds alongside Mark Martin until she takes up her new role.
Eclectica Asset Management:
Founded by Hugh Hendry in 2005, Eclectica Asset Management is to be closed down due to the size of the fund making it uneconomical to continue running in its current guise. Assets under management have dropped from a peak of $1.3 billion in 2013 to $30.6 million as of the end of August 2017. A letter has been sent to all holders providing details of the redemption process which are unknown at this time.
Janus Henderson Fixed Income:
Janus Henderson Investors have announced their appointment of Columbia Threadneedle’s Head of Global Fixed Income, Jim Cielinski, who had been at the firm since July 2010. Meanwhile, Janus Henderson’s Head of Global Credit, Stephen Thariyan, is leaving the group amid a wider restructuring of the team. These moves are expected to complete on the 1st November with Cielinski responsible for overseeing the growth of his new firm’s Fixed Income Team.
