Worldwide Healthcare Trust:
OrbiMed Capital’s Samuel Isaly has stepped down from his role as portfolio manager of the Worldwide Healthcare investment trust, after the group hired an external law firm to investigate allegations regarding his personal conduct. Sven Borho, Managing Partner of OrbiMed, and Trevor Polischuk will continue to run the portfolio, along with the rest of the OrbiMed team.
Janus Henderson UK & US Equity:
Janus Henderson Investors has appointed George Maris and Alex Crooke to head up the firm’s equities division in their respective US and UK offices. Maris will be responsible for US Equity whilst Crooke will be responsible for EMEA & APAC Equity. Graham Kitchen, the firm’s current Global Head of Equities, is will step down in March 2018 to ensure a smooth transition.
Empiric Student Property trust:
The Empiric Student Property trust has sacked Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Paul Hadaway after a poor 2017. Tim Attlee has stepped in as acting CEO to help new Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Lynne Fennah deliver the operational improvements and cost savings identified in the company’s recent business review.
JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust:
Sarah Emly, who jointly ran JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust and the Income & Capital trust, has passed away. Emly had jointly run the Income & Growth trust alongside John Baker who will now act as sole manager of the portfolio. William Meadon, who co-managed the Claverhouse trust alongside Emly, will continue at the helm as lead manager.
