Manager News – August 2018

CRUX Global Equity:

CRUX Asset Management has transferred its Global fund to Tyndall Investment Management, with the portfolio manager; Richard Scope, joining Tyndall to retain responsibility for the mandate.  The fund will be renamed the FP Tyndall Global fund, whilst the investment objective will remain unchanged.


JP Morgan Asian Investment Trust:

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Robert Lloyd as the third co-manager of its Asian Investment Trust.  He joins Richard Titherington, the firm’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and Head of Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific, and Ayaz Ebrahim.


Baillie Gifford UK Smaller Companies:

Andrew Strathdee, who has been managing the Baillie Gifford British Smaller Companies and UK Equity Focus funds since 2013, is to step down after 24 years at the firm in June 2019.  Strathdee will continue to manage these portfolios until his departure, to ensure an orderly succession process.


Neptune Investment Management:

The manager of the Neptune US Opportunities and Global Technology funds, Ali Unwin, is leaving the firm, having run the funds since July 2017.  Management of the US Opportunities fund will be handed to George Boyd-Bowman, who currently runs the Neptune US Income fund, with support from Storm Uru and Robin Geffen; the group’s chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Robin Geffen will also take over responsibility for the Global Technology fund, assisted by Ewan Thompson, Chris Taylor, Boyd-Bowman and James Dowey.
