Tano calls time out on Fidelity

Jan Tano, manager of Fidelity Institutional Japan, is to retire after five years of managing the fund and more than two decades with the firm.

Tano is to be succeeded by Hokeun Chung with Cenk Simsek and Eddie Tajima also joining as co-managers – Chung having worked for Fidelity for 16 years. Nicholas Price, manager of Fidelity Japan Aggressive and Fidelity Japan Investment Trust, will be taking over for Tano on the Fidelity Japan Smaller Companies fund which Tano has been lead manager on since 2006 – Price having run the investment trust for almost seven years.
