Richard Staveley quits Gresham House

Richard Staveley, the manager of the Gresham House Strategic investment trust, has left the group a day after a corporate governance row broke out between the board of directors at the investment trust and the investment managers; Gresham House. Gresham House has called an extraordinary general meeting to remove David Potter as Chairman of the trust, arguing his 18 year tenure is not good governance. Staveley joined Gresham House in 2019 from Majedie where he managed their UK Smaller Companies fund, having previously worked at River & Mercantile. The trust will now be managed by Tony Dalwood, Gresham House’s chief executive, with support from Laurence Hulse; who has been the deputy manager for the past six years.
