Multi-asset Manager moves on

Global head of asset allocation for Columbia Threadneedle, Toby Nangle, has left the fund house after a decade of service to pursue a different career.

Nangle had managed a number of multi-asset mandates for the firm, including their Dynamic Real Return fund which he will be replaced on by Barings head of multi-asset emerging markets Europe and Africa (EMEA) Christopher Mahon.  Mahon will join the firm in September, leaving Barings after almost a decade of working with them.  Prior to Barings, Mahon worked for Coronation Fund Managers, Oliver Wyman, and Momentum Asset Management.

Paul Niven, manager of the F&C Investment Trust, will replace Nangle as global head of asset allocation.  Niven having joined Columbia Threadneedle via the firms acquisition of BMO GAM in November 2021.
