Manager News – June 2020

ASI Global Smaller Companies:

Harry Nimmo has returned to co-manage the Aberdeen Standard Investment Global Smaller Companies fund, having stepped down as Global Head of Smaller Companies in early 2020, following the departure of investment director Alan Rowsell and analyst Imogen Harris.

Premier Miton Fixed Interest:

Premier Miton have announced that they have recruited Lloyd Harris from Merian, where he managed their Corporate Bond, Monthly Income Bond and Financials Contingent Capital funds, to join the group as Head of Fixed Income and lead manager of the Premier Corporate Bond Monthly Income fund.  Chun Lee, current manager of the Premier Corporate Bond Monthly Income fund and Premier UK Money Market fund, and Hoy Wan, co-manager of the Premier UK Money Market fund, will be part of the new Fixed Income Team, reporting to Harris.

JP Morgan India:

Rukhshad Shroff is to retire from JP Morgan Asset Management and step down from several funds in the process, including the JP Morgan India fund.  From 1st August 2020, Ayaz Ebrahim will act as a co-manager across all Shroff’s mandates.  Ebrahim is currently a named manager on three Korean equity funds and is also Co-Head of the Asia Pacific Regional Team.

M&G Property Portfolio:

Fiona Rowley, fund manager on the suspended M&G Property Portfolio fund, is to exit the business.  Co-manager Justin Upton will assume full fund management responsibility once Rowley departs, following a handover period.

ASI Multi Manager:

The manager of the ASI MyFolio fund range (encompassing the Index, Managed, Market and Multi-Manager series), Bambos Hambi, who was also the group’s Head of Multi Manager Strategies, has left the firm to join Quilter Investors as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).  Hambi’s responsibility for the portfolios will be assumed by current co-manager; Katie Trowsdale for the MyFolio Managed and Multi-Manager ranges and Joe Wiggins for the MyFolio Market and MyFolio Index ranges.
