Sanlam Investments:  4th January 2021

Tim Day and Chris Ford are to leave Smith & Williamson for Sanlam Investments, taking the Artificial Intelligence and North American Equity funds; which the pair co-manage, with them.  This comes as part of a deal between the two fund houses which includes a number of other funds and managers: Mark Boucher and Mark Swain who co-run Smith & Williamson’s Enterprise and UK Equity Growth funds, Giles Worthington who manages their European Equity fund and Thomas Wells who runs their Fixed Interest, Global Inflation Linked Bond and Short Dated Corporate Bond funds.

 Invesco Japan:  5th January 2021

Co-manager of the Invesco Japan and Japanese Equity Core funds, Paul Chesson, is set to leave the firm in the first quarter of 2021, as part of wider restructuring at their Henley office.  Responsibility for the portfolios will be passed to Invesco’s team in Tokyo; subject to regulatory approval.

 Allianz Global Sustainable:  19th January 2021

 Allianz Global Investors has appointed Gunnar Miller and Robbie Miles as managers of their Global Sustainability Strategy, following the announced departures of Paul Schofield and Jeremy Kent; who will leave the group in March 2021.

 Jupiter Ecology:  20th January 2021

Charlie Thomas, the manager of the Jupiter Ecology fund, will be leaving the company after 20 years to join EdenTree as their Chief Investment Officer (CIO).  Thomas will be succeeded on the fund by co-manager Jon Wallace.
