Manager Changes - April 2009 Baring Japan Growth:
Jonathan Greenhill has departed Occam Asset Management, where he was managing a hedge fund, and joined Baring as Head of Japan Equities. Greenhill will take over responsibility for the Baring Japan Growth, previously managed by Joji Maki, and the offshore Japan funds.
Aviva UK Equity Income:
Dan Roberts has left Aviva (formerly Norwich Union) to join Gartmore, where he will manage the Gartmore UK Equity Income fund. The existing manager, Chris Burvill, will step down from this mandate to focus solely on the Gartmore Cautious Managed fund. At Aviva, Roberts was responsible for the Aviva UK Equity Income fund, which will pass to Chris Murphy, who was Roberts’ co-manager.
Threadneedle Latin America:
Katie Dobson has left Threadneedle where she was the manager of the Threadneedle Latin America fund. Julian Thompson, Head of Global Emerging Markets, has taken over management of the Latin America fund with Jules Mort, manager prior to Dobson, acting as deputy manager.
