Manager Changes - January 2008 Gartmore appoint new Head of UK Retail:
Richard Pursglove has been appointed the new Head of UK Retail, a new role at Gartmore created as part of the restructuring process, although he will join the company in late March. Pursglove was a Sales Director and joins from Cazenove where he spent six years.
New Star Asia:
Mark Harris is stepping down as manager of the New Star Asia Portfolio, so he can focus on managing the New Star Tactical, Active, Balanced, Managed and American funds. Harris is also New Star’s Head of Fund of Funds. Robert Jeffree has been appointed as Harris’ successor. Jeffree has been with the group since August 2006 working as a fund analyst having joined from Principal Investment Managers where was a managed funds analyst.
